The Coronavirus has undoubtedly impacted us all … reminding us that life is uncertain and fragile. However, at the same time, every day is a gift.
For many of us, one of the best gifts in life is the ability to run. Running exercises our body and mind.
In the midst of this pandemic, we are organising this 5k virtual race to generate funds to support our local medical teams. Your donations will buy face masks and other medical safety equipment for our doctors and nurses, who fight for us every day.
What is a virtual race?
A virtual race is a race that can be run (or walked) from anywhere you choose. You can run, jog or walk on the street, on the treadmill at home, in your local park or any other open space. (Of course, keeping a good distance between yourself and anyone else you may encounter on your run). The great thing is that you can run your own race at your own pace!
Once you’ve completed the race, you just have to record your time on our Leaderboard Table on our website and upload a photograph your treadmill screen or your mobile phone that shows the distance you ran and your time. You can complete the race at any time, you have from April 20 to May 9, 2020.
